Why “Its flag has only one star.” is correct
This tests understanding the main point of a short lesson. Mr. Nguyen says that because the flag has just one star, Texas is called the Lone Star State, and that lone means only one. The other choices are either true facts that do not answer this question or ideas not in the lesson.
Why the other answers are wrong
- It is the biggest state. — The teacher does not talk about the size of Texas.
- Its flag is red, white, and blue. — The colors are named, but they are not the reason for the nickname.
- It has many stars in the sky. — The lesson is about the star on the flag, not stars in the sky.
