Email: Thursday Practice
From: Coach Ramirez To: Robotics Club Subject: Thursday practice is moving
Hello, Robotics Club members,
This Thursday we will not meet in Room 112, because the floors are being cleaned after school. Instead, we will meet in the library, at the back tables near the computers. Practice will start at the usual time, 3:15, but it will end fifteen minutes early, at 4:15, because the library closes then.
Please bring your team notebook and the sensor you took home to test. If you left the sensor at home, ask a parent to drop it off at the front office by lunchtime.
Our competition is only three weeks away, so every practice counts!
Coach Ramirez
The question
Choose the best answer.
Where will the Robotics Club meet on Thursday?
- In Room 112, as it usually does
- At the front office at lunchtime
- At the back tables in the libraryCorrect answer
- In the school’s computer lab
Why “At the back tables in the library” is correct
This tests finding a key detail in an email. The coach writes that the club will meet "in the library, at the back tables near the computers." The other places are all mentioned in the email for different reasons, so the student must read for what the question asks.
Why the other answers are wrong
- In Room 112, as it usually does — Room 112 is where the club usually meets, but the floors are being cleaned.
- At the front office at lunchtime — The front office is where a parent can drop off a sensor, not where the club meets.
- In the school’s computer lab — The club will sit near the computers in the library, not in a computer lab.
