Parking Permit Notice
Senior Parking Permits: Spring Semester
Seniors who drive to school must have a parking permit to park in the student lot (Lot C). Permits from the fall semester expire on December 19.
To apply for a spring permit, bring the following to the front office between December 8 and December 16:
1. A completed application form signed by a parent or guardian
2. A copy of your current driver's license
3. Proof of insurance for the vehicle you will drive
4. A $15 fee (cash or money order only)
Permits will be handed out the first week of January. Students with more than three unexcused tardies in the fall semester must meet with an assistant principal before a permit can be issued.
Vehicles parked in Lot C without a current permit may be towed at the owner's expense. Lots A and B are reserved for staff and visitors at all times.
The question
Choose the best answer.
Which item does a student need to bring to apply for a spring permit?
- A letter from an assistant principal
- A copy of the fall semester permit
- Proof of insurance for the vehicleCorrect answer
- A $15 fee paid by personal check
Why “Proof of insurance for the vehicle” is correct
This tests close reading of a numbered list. The correct answer is item 3. The choice about the fee is a common trap because the fee is on the list, but the notice limits how it may be paid; students should check every detail of an answer, not just the main word.
Why the other answers are wrong
- A letter from an assistant principal — Only students with too many tardies must meet with an assistant principal; no letter is listed.
- A copy of the fall semester permit — The fall permit expires and is not on the list of things to bring.
- A $15 fee paid by personal check — The fee is required, but the notice says cash or money order only, not a check.
