Who is the food for?

  • Families who need helpCorrect answer
  • The cooks in the school cafeteria
  • The teachers
  • The class that brings the most cans

Why “Families who need help” is correct

The first part of the announcement says the school will collect food for families in town who need help. The last line, "helping our neighbors," says the same thing in other words.

Why the other answers are wrong

  • The cooks in the school cafeteria — The food goes to families, not to the cafeteria or the people who work there.
  • The teachers — The teachers are not mentioned in the announcement.
  • The class that brings the most cans — The class that brings the most cans gets an extra recess, not the food.
