The question

Choose the best answer.

In a water balloon toss, what do you do with the balloon?

  • Throw it gentlyCorrect answer
  • Fill it with air
  • Hide it in the grass
  • Pop it with a pin

Why “Throw it gently” is correct

This checks whether the student knows the word toss, which means to throw something lightly. The poster gives no other clue, so this is a vocabulary question. If the student does not know the word, gently toss a soft object and say it.

Why the other answers are wrong

  • Fill it with air — The poster says water balloons, so they are filled with water, not air.
  • Hide it in the grass — Toss does not mean hide.
  • Pop it with a pin — Toss does not mean pop.
