What should you do if you want to sit down?

  • Sit on the wet bench
  • Paint the bench
  • Sit on the grass by the bench
  • Use the bench by the gateCorrect answer

Why “Use the bench by the gate” is correct

Signs often say what not to do and then what to do instead. The second sentence tells people to use the bench by the gate. Reading short signs and notices is part of the TELPAS reading test.

Why the other answers are wrong

  • Sit on the wet bench — The sign says not to sit on this bench because the paint is wet.
  • Paint the bench — The bench was just painted. The sign does not ask anyone to paint.
  • Sit on the grass by the bench — The sign does not mention the grass.
