Why “To thank Tía Rosa for a gift” is correct
The note begins with "Thank you for the book," and everything after it is about how much Pablo likes that book. Tía is the Spanish word for aunt. Choice b is tempting because Pablo does name his favorite part, but that is a detail, not the reason for the note.
Why the other answers are wrong
- To ask for another book — Pablo already has a book from Tía Rosa. He does not ask for another one.
- To tell about his favorite dinosaur — Pablo tells his favorite part of the book, but that is one detail, not why he wrote.
- To say he is sick — Nothing in the note says Pablo is sick.
