The question
Choose the best answer.
Read the sentence. One word has an error. She have a red bike. Which word has the error?
- She
- haveCorrect answer
- red
- bike
Why “have” is correct
With he, she or it, the verb have changes to has: "She has a red bike." On the real test, a question like this is often followed by a second part that asks for the correct word. Have the student say the fixed sentence aloud after choosing.
Why the other answers are wrong
- She — She is correct. The verb has to change to match it.
- red — Red correctly describes the bike.
- bike — Bike is correct. There is one bike, and "a" goes with one.
