Why does the poster say that books with torn pages or writing inside cannot be swapped?
- So the swap ends before the first bell
- So only chapter books are brought to the swap tables
- So students get books that are nice to readCorrect answer
- So the town library will buy the books
Why “So students get books that are nice to read” is correct
This asks the student to work out the reason behind a rule that the poster does not explain. If damaged books were allowed, the student trading for them would get a book that is hard to read or already written in. The rule protects the people taking books home. Reasons-behind-rules questions are common with notices and posters.
Why the other answers are wrong
- So the swap ends before the first bell — The time of the swap has nothing to do with the condition of the books.
- So only chapter books are brought to the swap tables — The poster welcomes comic books and picture books too.
- So the town library will buy the books — Leftover books are donated, not sold.
