The question

Choose the best answer.

Why does the poster tell what the money will buy?

  • To tell how much each of the cookies will cost
  • So people will want to help by buying somethingCorrect answer
  • To show where the library is
  • So people will bring their old books to the sale

Why “So people will want to help by buying something” is correct

The poster does not say "please come," but telling people that the money will buy library books gives them a good reason to buy something. Thinking about why a writer includes a sentence is part of the analyze category.

Why the other answers are wrong

  • To tell how much each of the cookies will cost — The prices are in a different part of the poster.
  • To show where the library is — The poster does not say where the library is.
  • So people will bring their old books to the sale — The money will buy books. No one is asked to bring books.
