The question
Choose the best answer.
What should the students do when they hear the bell?
- Line up at the door
- Start a board game
- Go outside to play
- Clean up and sit downCorrect answer
Why “Clean up and sit down” is correct
The last direction tells students what to do when the bell rings: put things back on the shelf and sit at their desks. The correct choice sums up those two steps in short words. Following a teacher's sequence of directions is a common TELPAS listening task.
Why the other answers are wrong
- Line up at the door — Lining up is a common school routine, but the teacher says to sit at your desk.
- Start a board game — Board games are for recess time, before the bell.
- Go outside to play — Recess is inside today because of the rain.
