- Sandals
- Mittens
- Rain bootsCorrect answer
- Raincoat
Why “Rain boots” is correct
The direction gives two clues: you wear it on your feet, and it keeps your feet dry in the rain. Only rain boots fit both. A raincoat also keeps you dry, so the student has to catch the words "on your feet." On the real test the choices are pictures.
Why the other answers are wrong
- Sandals — Sandals go on your feet, but they are open, so your feet would get wet.
- Mittens — Mittens go on your hands, not your feet.
- Raincoat — A raincoat keeps you dry, but you wear it on your body, not on your feet.
